Stretched philtrum? Scalpel/ Stretch

So super lately I've really REALLY been considering stretching my philtrum/Medusa piercing...

The only problem i have is the fact i HATE the piercing pain.. and after having it pierced 3 times now its going to be super painful..
I could have it scalpelled... which would get it done super fast but I'm just not sure...
I can't stretch my initial piercing ( i have a kit i got from Paul glory holes) but my piercing it wonky .. I've tried before....
But UGH its so beautiful what to do...

My first time piercing!!! EVER :D

A few months ago i started my life long dream of being a piercer! i won't go into so much detail but i started training with Patrick Kielty at BodyAltar in worksop....
As you probably no by now Paddy is my guy for mods ;)

So buy now I've finished all the theory i know how keep everything sterile and what I'm actually doing ha
So far I'm pretty proud of the process I've made on picking up everything he's telling me

Thursday was my first actual day of piercing. A lovely choppy came in who let me do a few ear piercings and such for him

Here are the photos-

Conch! in action shot ^-^

Paddy did one on the ear and i did the second and conch.

The first piercing! eyebrow :D It was super tense and it took a while especially  the jewellery change which was tricky at first.

And also.... war are you doing starbucks!? like really....

Forehead scarification! FAQ- Video and pictures

Hello everyone! long time no talk?
Sorry I've been completely neglecting my blogger recently I've been a little more focused on my other things :)

BLOOD WARNING
If you don't like Modification or skin click off this page now

Anyway! Im getting asked a whole bunch on my scarification so HERE :3 have a huge longggg post on it ^-^

WHEN AND WHERE:

I decided on looking at his work that Luke who works at rude studios in Leeds was my man for the job! After looking for someone who worked quite small and detailed his work was perfect for my forehead

Examples of his other work-

MY HEAD:

So this is the final outcome.... as most of you know its based on crop circle designs and adapted to fit my forehead ( and around my horns!)

I went in at 6pm and left at 10pm.... And i do have to say it was quite painful -.-
Most of you asked if it was numbed and yes it was but i still did feel quite a large portion of it...

The process

The désigne was stencilled on and the initial cutting starting, a thin outline just to open up
the skin. That was quite quick and only took around half an hour...
After that was finished the numbing gel was applied which was good but as i said some parts were not as numbed as i would of liked!
Around my horns was quite sensitive....
The cuts were made deeper and part of the crescent were removed
( which i still have in my freezer *-* )

Healing

I was told after not to do much with it! I've heard of people picking and applying oils regularly and i was told just to leave it, wash it twice a day...
I left the wrap on over night to avoid it bleeding all over me...
I did pick it occasionally which i read is some times quite good..
But from what i gathered it just depends on how you scar naturally and thankfully/or not? ha i scar quite easily ^-^

FAQ

Were you worried of it healing uneven?
- Yes of course, I've seen various ones heal uneven .. although its still beautiful with it being on my forehead i wanted it perfect.

Why do you keep the skin?
I always keep the skin after any mod i CAN take the skin hahaha i bury it on the solstices

Was it your worst mod yet( pain wise)
Its high up there yes... It was long and unpleasant but worth it!

Whats it going to look like healed?
I don't know? Its still healing now and it might stay like this or fade even more?

How was it done?
It was done with a scalpel

Why that design?
Ive loved crop circles designs for a long time .... I've always wanted them on all my arm ^-^

Will you have more Scarification ?
YES! so much more

Sub dermal horn implants! - Healing / procedure

(WARNING- Some pictures my contain blood )
So a few Saturday ago i went in for my next big modification- Subdermal horns!
To be perfectly honestly it was something i didn't have to think twice about...
Its one of those that you think about but never think you will actually get done.
But behold me shiny horny forehead!

As i always do, my fiancée and my best friend Sam ( who was wanting to come watch for the first time!) came along with me.

V
Worksop!
Paddy marked out where i wanted them, i went for a little more inwards that out as i didn't think it would suit my face shape as much.

Procedure

Boobies on my head ;)

Mid selfie photo with paddy, im a unicorn here :)

Two mid photos, Although its not pretty- no brows and double chins an all but i was so happy and excited ^-^

Both horns, Here you can see the incisions and all that lovely blood in my hair.

Healing

This is an hour after, My face is not happy. It felt so tight and sunburnt.
Id taken some pain killers but didn't really feel like talking :(

Day 2- I know these are not  flattering but what does anyone expect ha
My forehead was rather swollen, as you can see my dermal looks pushed out and the lids of my eyes are bigggg

Day 3- Looking like a old person with this hair line ha. Bloody hair and soreness

Day 4- The worst 'looking day'.
I was still taking painkillers here as it felt uncomfortable still but fortunately for me this is the worst it got.
I'd looked around and other people swelling/ bruising looked awful!
Tbh i was quite disappointed but this was the best bruise i got.

2 weeks later.

They are really starting to define now and..
I
LOVE
THEM.
I truly do, the positivity i got back from them was so lovely.
For anyone out there considering this mod,
I say go for it! by far my favourite.
I could finally wash my hair after a week and having blood stuck in dreads is awful but i was told not to get them wet.
The stitches are almost gone.

Thanks for reading!
If you have any questions feel free to ask on here or tumblr

Big thank you to Patrick Kielty as always for making my forehead more awesome.
)0(
Love and light to you all!
and happy modding

Ear pointing 101- My Experience

( Disclaimer- i am NOT a professional. This is all personal experience! please consult a professional for further information)

My experience

So yeah as you can imagine Elf ears are actually a thing and becoming massively popular in the last few years!
Back in 2012 i think it was after i had my tongue split i began thinking about new mods as you do!
I dont even know how or why it popped up...
Maybe its just because i was taking more notice of the Modification industry?

As i fell in love i began my search to find out more information...
Although strangely youtube was pretty empty when it came to ear pointing...
I remember reading bits and pieces here and there on different sites, getting as much knowledge as i could about it!
I felt ready and contacted Paddy at Bodyalter in worksop
( obviously many artists do this procedure But go with someone you know is experienced and you feel comfortable with ! )

Many artists also do the procedure quite differently so it would be good idea to talk to the artist about this!

I had my fist points shortly after.

They were very natural looking, which i loved so much. The response from this image was amazing!
After i while though, as i started seeing more and more lovely ladies with pointed ears are wanted them pointy and more extreme.

So after around a year i went back!
I think it might of being Febuary this year and it went so much easier and i knew exactly what to expect and how to look after them even better!
This time i had stictches i had to take out myself where as last time i had soluble stitches which didn't last very long at all.

So here a pictures from my recent pointing-

These are my ears a few days after the ponting. The stitches stayed in for around a month

Nearly healed! Well mostly healed i just have a tiny bit of redness from the stitches still!

The procedure

As stated above, Artists have various ways of shaping the ear.
Its a good thing to talk to the artist about and researching before going ahead!
As for my ears, a small triangle shape was removed from the tops of my ears and then stitched back into a point where they healed!

As you can imagine its a pretty painful thing to have done and some artists will offer anesthetic.
But saying you might have some pain relief does not make it pain free at all .
You can hear and feel every cut and stitch.
So please dont ask if its painful. Everyone you ask will say yes.

Healing/Aftercare

The best advice and most important is DO NOT SLEEP ON THEM

The Artist will tell you this straight away!
As for me i learnt from my first experience.
I didnt get used to sleeping on my back so tosses and turned alot and ended up sleeping on them quite a bit.
What you need is this!

A fellow pointy ear friend told me about this before getting them re-pointed.
And boy its a life saver.
It basically makes you sleep on your back and not let you ears come into contact with your pillow.
Its quite uncomfortable to sleep with but its a must!

Its also advised not to wash your hair or let them get wet in the first week or too.
Dry shampoo is the savoir here!

As you can imagine you want to keep them as clean as possible and its best to use salt water once the first week has past.
( sea salt not table salt!)

All the other stuff-

Cost- This totally depends on who you go with and where you live.
It can cost anything from £150- £1500

Here are some pictures of other pointy eared folk-

Pictures from BME or Google image search.

Other information sites-

BME is a very resourceful website for images and information-

Also youtubes such are Melynda Moon have made people more aware of it ^-^

Youtube has a tone of other videos about ear pointing now too!

Some other points of interest-

My procedure lasted about 3 hours

Sometimes you get to keep your ear parts! I have my ears and my nostril punches in the freezer!

They are very easy to hide ( especially if you have long hair ) for Jobs etc

As far as im aware they do not effect your hearing ;)

You do need to clean inside you ear tip, just with a cotton bud.

IF you have any questions or feel i have left out information please let me know!
